ABOUT ME

Bio

Estella Persio is currently based in New York City performing at 92NY in their production of 'Mother Goose'! She just graduated in the spring with a BFA in Dance & minor in Musical Theatre at Point Park University. During her time at Point Park she has performed the works of Candace Brown, Norbert De La Cruz, Jason McDole, Marc Spaulding and Crystal Frazier at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. She also had the opportunity to perform in Monty Python’s Spamalot at the Strand Theatre. 

 

In 2023, Estella was awarded Point Park University’s Starmakers Award in Dance. She is also assisting teachers including Judith Leifer-Bentz for Point Park’s Modern program. She accepted the role of president for Point Park’s Chapter of We Are Queens. 

 

Estella has had the opportunity to choreograph for dance schools like Charlene’s school of Dance in multiple genres of dance. Her choreography was also selected to be showcased in the National High School Dance Festival in 2020. 

Prior to her attendance at Point Park, she attended the Grier School where she danced in the pre-professional dance program under the direction of Jocelyn Hrzic. She had the opportunity to train with and perform the works of Darrell Grand Moultrie, Christopher Huggins, Kiesha Lalama, Mike Esperanza, Tracie Stanfield, Melissa Rector, Joshua Manculich, Kiki Lucas, Rob Priore, Kate Skarpetowska, and Phil Orsano. 

 

Estella is a multidisciplinary artist, excited to create and share experiences through dance, voice, and acting.
